Matt Jackson didn't come to scheduling from a textbook — he came to it from a jobsite.
He started his career as a field engineer on active construction projects, working on the general contractor side across a range of building types. From there, he moved into project management, spending years running jobs and learning firsthand how construction actually gets built — the sequencing, the coordination, the things that never quite go according to plan.
That hands-on project experience is what eventually led him to scheduling full-time, and then to forensic delay analysis. When Matt looks at a schedule, he's not just evaluating logic ties and float paths — he's drawing on nearly two decades of building, managing, and analyzing construction projects worth more than $4 billion combined.
Matt holds the Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification from AACE International and remains an active member of the association.
The name is a tribute to the builders in Atlas Shrugged — people who create real, tangible value through skill and effort — and a nod to the legacy of Skunk Works, where a small, focused team with high standards quietly built things nobody thought were possible.
